Many thanks to Mike Lydiate (Eric's son) for the following text and pictures:

Those days" they were the days when the music scene was just exploding in England and especially in the Manchester / Liverpool scene. The Beatles had just made the "Big time" and all of a sudden the Liverpool groups such as "The Swinging Blue Jeans"  "Gerry and The Pacemakers" "The Searchers" and many others were appearing on the scene while in Manchester, Groups such as "The Hollies", "Herman's Hermits", Wayne Fontana & The Mindbenders",  "Graham Gouldman's Mocking Birds" and other not so quite well known groups such as "The Rockin' Vickers"(with Lemmie from Motorhead), "The Hells Angels" "The TK5" "Some Other Guys" and many others were starting to pick up large followings in the local clubs such as "The Heaven & Hell", "The Oasis", "The Jungfrau Club", "The Top of the Town", "The Cad" and many other sleazy but exciting places.

Anyway, "the Chasers" were right in the middle of all this wierd and wonderful confusion and I was right in there with it, seeing as how I had been promoted to "Chief  (and only)  Roadie" and we were out "on the road just about every other night playing alongside people like "The Kinks", The Walker Brothers", "The Wheels", "Them (with Van Morrison)", "The Pretty Things", "Robert Palmer", "Jethro Tull (then unknown)", "Pink Floyd (then a second rate blues band", "Long John Baldry who at that time had a background singer named Rod Stewart and a guitarist/pianist named Reginald Dwight who was later to become known as Elton John",
One of the best things that I remember about those "Gigs" was that we would  often stop off at one of the local "Indian Restaurants" on our way home and stuff ourselves with "Papadoms with Chutney & Onions" and "Chicken Vindaloo".

also from Mike Lydiate:

"The guys are [all still] alive. Geoff Foot is a member of Hermans Hermits. Been for sometime now. Ged
Harrison became a successful song writer in Germany. Not sure about the rest. My dad came
to the states in 1970. He and Ged Harrison left The Chasers and joined Some Other Guys
and toured Germany in 1967. Met my mom(American) and got married, went back to Salford
and came to the states. We have been here ever since. We do go home to Salford about
every 3 years or so. If there is anything else that I can help with please let me know.
Thanks for giving them some credit!"
