Salford Music Videos

A Selection of our favourite vids.

Watch all the past episodes of Salford Music TV HERE.

Kin : Flies.

Here's a live vid of the magnificent "Kin" performing at this year's In the City festival. It was filmed and edited by Mr Tony Thornborough and is really rather bloody good.

Humanizer : Arthur Brown Gets me down.

These lads make a curiously uplifting noise. It's Humanizer. They've recently signed up to Hooky's Hacienda Record label- more news on that to follow. In the meantime, why not have a quick peek at their homage to flying- it's the vid for Arthur Brown Gets Me Down.

The Inflictors : The Whip.

Here comes some relentlessly twisted rock 'n' roll from Salford funsters The Inflictors. It's all been filmed in The Weaste by bespectacled guru Tony Thornborough. I defy anyone not to enjoy this song.

Suzuki Method : What we do's not secret.

Those cheeky chappies Suzuki Method make their second appearance with this rip-roaring video that accompanies their song "What We Do's Not Secret". It's all shot in Salford and stars home-grown actor James Foster as "the man". It's a corker.

Wonderland Trip : Leech.

Here's the latest venture from Salford music hero Ste Rice and his happy band of brothers. They go under the name of Wonderland Trip and this mini-epic was recorded at Ding's 6dB Studios in Bexley Square. In fact, if you look closely, you may just spot the old devil.

Girl Peculiar : Stars.

Girl Peculiar has many videos up on YouTube but this is our favourite. Check out Ms. Shuttleworth dancing between the traffic in Amsterdam without a care in the world.

Echodeck : Deceit.

Here's a rather pro looking vid from Salford/Jersey electo-guitar warriors Echodeck. It has been entered into some competition or other. You can vote for it HERE.

Briggzy (featuring Samir Harmim). : Home.

Salford's rap kaiser, Briggzy, has a cornucopia of videos that you can watch online- and most of them are HERE. However, we thought we would feature this one featuring Swinton's current heart-throb Samir.

Aidan Smith : Living on Allotments.

Eccles's very own musical genius Aidan Smith has a raft of great videos to go with his very own brand of quirky songs. Indeed, you can see some of 'em HERE, or even HERE. But we've picked this one just so that you can see what a xylophone-playing butternut squash might look like, or a ukulele-playing corn on the cob.

The Black Knights : L.A. Hayfever.

It's The Black Knights, folks. And here is a snippet of their dark satanic jiggery-pokery. Do not watch on your own or after dark.

Pearl Divers : I Love the Music.

Here comes a slightly quirky vid of The Pearl Divers and their anthem "I Love the Music" intercut with some morris dancing and random kids faffing about on a beach. Seriously.

Suite 57 : Love me (like I am extraordinary).

Filmed at Chimney Pot Park on 14th August. Suite 57 are Renee & Mark Byrne and this song features Stephen Womble MC.

AAAK : The Bastard of Shitsville.

This is the latest promo video from AAAK as part of their renaissance. And it is easily the best song title we've heard this year.

The Inflictors : Hits You.

salfordmusic is proud to bring to your attention a new video by The Inflictors of their song "Hits You", incorporating the cartoons and artwork of Salford artist M.J. Grady. Have a quick gander.

Tigerside : Banco.

Those cheeky chappies from Tigerside have put together a new video for their song "Banco" and you lucky lucky people can view it right here, right now. Go on- it's a blast.

Suzuki Method : Purple Aki.

Purple Aki was shot at four local Suzuki Method gigs including Salford's Kings Arms and was filmed and directed by Joe Gavin, with the not inconsiderable help of Sean Lomax and Hussaine. It's a belter.
