GAMMER CONSISTED OF A MAD SCHOOL TEACHER FROM DIDSBURY CALLED NORMAN GAMMER WHO SANG AND PLAYED FLUTE. HIS DRUMMER WAS A GUY CALLED BASHER COOKE WHO'S CLAIM TO FAME WAS THAT HE OWNED IAN PAICE'S (DEEP PURPLE) DRUM AND SYMBAL CASES- According to our sources they had an occasional guitarist called Steve Mottershead.  THEY HAD A REGULAR SPOT AT THE CHAMPION ON BROADWALK CIRCA 77/78. ONE OF THEIR REGULAR GUITARISTS (I'M SURE) WAS A CERTAIN MR VINI REILLY.

Many thanks to Nigel Blair for the artwork above.

Does anyone know where Norman Gammer is now? Contact us at jon@salfordmusic.com
