Feedback formed in
1982 in the playground of St. Andrews RC High School, Leicester Road,
Salford. Band members included Jon Coupe - Vocals & Guitar, James
Crank - Bass & Vocals and Andrew McDonald on drums. The lads Rehearsed
in an upper room at North Salford Youth Club, Bowker Street, Higher
Broughton. Their first gig was St. Andrews School talent contest,
unfortunately they were beaten into 2nd place by a 12 year
old girl who sang a Nolan Sisters’ song! The venues eventually got
better with the band playing
various gigs at local pubs and social clubs and playing at Bury Derby
Hall, Salford University and ‘Cloud Nine’ on Cross Street Manchester.
Feedback recorded 3 demos at Twilight Sound Studios in Salford and
appeared on the Oxfam Charity LP 'Who Cares Wins'. The band split in
1987.
