Danny’s sister Laura is
the ‘oldest’ member . . .she is 13 What’s more Danny and
various line-ups of the Dynamites have been together for
over two years.
Says father, manager,
musical director and chauffeur, Leo Hickey: “Since they
started I have had to change my car because I couldn’t get
them and all their instruments in at the same time.”
He describes their style
as “Jazz and modern music.” They recently performed at St.
Mary’s Hall in Eccles where they hired other acts to appear
with them.
Before Christmas, shoppers
in the Arndale Centre might have heard the band playing
though regular venues include OAP parties.

Carrig, aged 12 of Ellesmere Avenue, Eccles, who is the
groups drummer, 11-year-old Coman Wakefield of Lightoaks
Road. Pendleton (guitarist and cornet), Clarinetists Martin

Richardson of Queensway, Worsley.
