Saturday Knight Fever
by jc. 26.07.10.
Here in salfordmusic mansions, we recently had some renovation work done which included getting the old place completely soundproofed. Now this has saved us lots of embarrassment as no-one can hear us playing our Level 42 records at full blast any more.
So
imagine our surprise when a gang of snaggle-toothed freaks, vampires and
trident-wielding dwarves knocked on the doors of the mansion demanding
to know what the unholy noise was emanating from inside the old place.
And the truth is, dear reader, that we were listening to the new album
by The Black Knights entitled Sickle
Sell Saturday Night.
SSSN
is an eleven-track slice of sleaze, sonic grubbiness and hell-raising
hyperbole delivered by two blokes who look like Beelzebub's bailiffs.
And what's more, it foils even the most robust soundproofing systems
known to man.
And the good news is that it's available for you to buy right here folks. It's got the lot: live favourites like LA Hayfever and Generation Aberration and a smattering of other crazy shizzle like Cult and Mailbomb Tom (a Telegram Sam for the 21st Century).
So, I reckon it's time you parted with five of your Earth pounds and bought yourself a copy; you skinny rats.
